We first have to clean all the grout lines. We need to make sure all the pores of the grout lines are free of any materials. We spray all tile and grout with our commercial grade cleaner and if possible let the grout soak for 20-30 minutes.
After the soaking period we deep scrub all the grout and tile by hand.
After the deep scrubbing, we then rinse the grout and tile with fresh water, then towel wipe/dry all grout and tile. At this point we place air fans to dry to the grout and tile.
After the drying period, we prep the grout for staining. We use an applicator brush filled with your stain and begin staining your grout. The process is very similar to painting. The grout actually absorbs the stain and fills up the pores of the grout as it re-colors it.
Since the stain will leave a protective layer over the top of the grout is doesn’t require having to be sealed. The stain is a sealant itself. Once the staining is finished the tiles are cleaned of any excess stain.
We use Behr Solid Color Concrete Stain that has been color matched to your preference. We can color match most colors and can provide a color chart to choose from. The Behr concrete stain is very durable, and it’s even made to go on driveways and garage floors.
